The handle is covered top to bottom in a dense geometric knurl pattern — interlocking chain-link ovals and diamond crosshatch — the kind of surface detail that takes real tooling time and makes modern razors look embarrassingly lazy. The head is stamped \u003cem\u003eSTAR \/ Made in U.S.A.\u003c\/em\u003e on the guard plate, and the blade-loading mechanism opens cleanly to reveal the original blade still in place (not for use, obviously — it's been there since roughly the time the Titanic was news).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe silver-toned finish has developed a warm, uneven patina that only 100+ years of bathroom shelf life can produce.
