A decanter this good deserves to be filled with something worth drinking. Or left empty on a sideboard looking magnificent — honestly, either works. This 1920s globe-shaped beauty has been sitting in near-mint condition for over a century, which means someone either had excellent taste or simply forgot they owned it. Their loss, your gain.
The body is a satisfying round globe shape, covered in a dense pattern of hand-cut pinwheel starbursts, fan motifs, and diagonal mitre cuts that catch the light from every angle. The neck is elegantly proportioned with a triple-ring collar — the kind of detail that separates a proper antique decanter from a mere bottle with pretensions. The stopper is a spectacular fan-cut wedge shape, fully faceted on all sides, that fits the neck with the satisfying precision only ground crystal can achieve. Look through the base and you get a kaleidoscope of radiating cuts that would make a Victorian glassmaker proud.
In near-mint condition for its age — no chips, no cracks, no cloudiness. Just 100 years of quietly excellent taste waiting for its next chapter.
