Let's clear something up right away: this bowl was born without a lid. No missing lid, no tragic separation story — this is an open serving bowl, designed exactly as you see it, with two elegant scroll handles and a generous open top ready to show off whatever you put inside it.
The same lush pink and purple anemone transfer that graces its platter siblings wraps all the way around this beauty, with those signature pearl-centred stamens and golden-green leaves. The scroll handles are gilded at the tips, the rim has a fine gold line, and the whole thing sits on a sturdy footed base. It's the kind of bowl that makes a green salad feel like a formal occasion.
No backstamp, but the style, glaze, and floral transfer are consistent with Devon pottery of the period — part of the same Edwardian dinner service as our matching platters.
