The French have always understood that even a simple serving dish should be worth looking at. This Limoges porcelain oval serving dish from around 1900 proves the point effortlessly.
Scattered across the crisp white porcelain are the same graceful sprays of pink wildflowers with feathery green stems — light, airy, and utterly Belle Époque. The scalloped rim has subtle embossed relief detailing, and the shallow well is the perfect depth for asparagus, cold cuts, or whatever you'd like to present with a little more panache than usual. It sits flat and stable, and the glaze is rich and even throughout.
The "Limoges France" backstamp is clearly printed on the underside. Part of the same service as our matching tazza — both available separately.
