Sometimes one cup of tea is all you need. And if that one cup is going to happen, it might as well happen in style. This utterly charming single-person tea set by Chapman of England — Longton, Staffordshire, circa 1900 — is decorated with the most delicate hand-painted violets cascading over a warm cream ground, finished with a gilded scalloped edge on every single piece. It's the kind of set that makes a quiet afternoon feel like a proper occasion.
Everything is here: tray, teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug, and cup with saucer — all matching, all original, all absolutely lovely. The teapot lid has been repaired at some point in its long life, which we mention because we believe in honesty, and also because it's barely noticeable when you're busy admiring the violets.

WARNING: This tea set will make you feel like the main character of a very cosy Edwardian novel. Maison de L'oro accepts no responsibility for any subsequent urge to wear a lace collar, write letters by candlelight, or refer to your afternoon tea as "taking refreshment."
