Small but absolutely not subtle. These miniature cloisonné vaasjes from 1930s–40s China pack the same decorative ambition as their larger siblings into a much smaller package — ruyi cloud ground, peony motif, gold wire detailing, and a little wooden stand that gives them just enough height to look important on a shelf or windowsill.
Each sits on a small wooden footing that protects the base and adds a traditional finishing touch. They are identical in design and make a charming pair, or work equally well as individual accent pieces.
Full disclosure: both have some light enamel damage, clearly visible in the photos. This is reflected in the price — the craftsmanship and character are fully intact.
