This one has a story. Originally a Czech baker's mould board — used to press geometric patterns into bread, cookies, or traditional peperkoek — this beautiful piece of folk craftsmanship has been given a second life as a wall hook rail. And honestly? It's better this way.
Hand-carved from light beechwood, the board features three carved motifs in the classic Central European folk tradition: two large double-rosette medallions with intricate geometric star patterns, and two smaller single rosettes at each end. The carving is confident and precise — the work of someone who knew exactly what they were doing. You can still faintly make out the impression of the patterns on the wooden pegs, a beautiful trace of the board's original purpose.
Brought back from Prague, where this kind of folk object was a staple of the domestic kitchen. The wooden pegs are original; two metal wall brackets have been added to the reverse for easy hanging. Ready to go straight on your kitchen wall.
