These gorgeous little dessert bowls come from a complete set of six and are attributed to George Davidson & Co. of Gateshead, England — one of Victorian and Edwardian Britain's finest pressed glass makers, who kept producing beautiful pieces well into the Art Deco era. The design is a delight: a swirling wave pattern on the exterior walls, a crisp starburst base, and a prettily scalloped rim that makes even a bowl of strawberries look like it belongs in a country house dining room.

The colour is a fresh, clear green that glows beautifully in natural light. The condition is exceptional — these have clearly been stored rather than used, which at 95 years old is frankly impressive.
