There's something wonderfully civilised about a table bell. No shouting across the room, no waving, no undignified gesturing — just a gentle ring and everyone knows what's expected of them. These charming little bells are made by two of England's finest porcelain makers — Hammersley and Palissy, both divisions of Royal Worcester Spode — and date from around 1970.
The Hammersley bell is made from fine English bone china with a classic flared skirt shape. The body is decorated with a soft, hand-painted floral design — delicate pink, lilac, and yellow blooms with green foliage — in that quintessentially English country-house style. A slender handle topped with a gold-rimmed knop and gold banding at rim and base complete the look. Original ceramic clapper intact.
The Palissy bell has a slightly fuller, rounder silhouette with a smooth cream body decorated with a colourful floral bouquet — roses, foxgloves, and mixed blooms in warm pinks and yellows. The handle features a gold-rimmed dome knop and gold banding. Original ceramic clapper intact.
Both are available individually — choose your variant. Two Hammersley bells available, one Palissy.
