If glass could be described as "cosy", this would be it. This creamy, ivory opaline vase by Fenton Art Glass (USA) from around 1940 is the kind of object that makes a room feel instantly warmer, softer, and approximately 30% more charming — without doing anything at all.
The rounded, bulbous body is covered in a beautifully detailed embossed floral and leaf relief pattern — roses and foliage swirling around the base like a garden that decided to become a vase. The neck is ribbed and elegant, and the top opens into a gorgeous ruffled, scalloped rim that looks like it was finished by someone who genuinely cared. Because it was.
Fenton Art Glass was one of America's most beloved handmade glass manufacturers, and pieces like this are increasingly sought after by collectors. The opaline finish gives the glass a soft, milky translucency that glows beautifully in natural light.
