This is not just a vase. This is a piece of Czech glass design history in your hands — literally, at 1600 grams, very much in your hands. Designed by František Vizner for the Rudolfova Hutď glassworks in Bohemia around 1960, the 'Maze' pattern is one of his most recognisable works: a dense grid of vertical ribs interrupted by rectangular recesses that catch and scatter light in every direction. The effect is somewhere between a modernist architectural model and a very satisfying puzzle you can't actually solve.
The glass is crystal-clear and heavy, with the kind of optical depth that makes you want to keep turning it in the light. The serrated rim is a signature Vizner detail — functional, sculptural, and slightly unexpected. In top condition: no chips, no cracks, no repairs. Just 65 years of being quietly excellent.

Maison de L'oro accepts no responsibility for any subsequent deep dives into Czech mid-century glass design, Rudolfova Hutď catalogues, or the realisation that Bohemian glass is criminally underrated.
