This chunky, confident brass vase from 1960s India is not here to blend in. Hand-decorated with layers of colourful enamel in a cloisonné-style technique, it features a fantastical bird surrounded by pink and purple blooms — the kind of scene that looks like it was painted by someone who had very strong opinions about flowers and wasn't afraid to show it.
The body is divided into panels by raised brass lines, alternating between cream enamel with floral motifs and raw brushed brass. The neck and base are solid brass with a warm patina. Heavy in the hand, substantial on a shelf, and absolutely impossible to ignore.

WARNING: This vase has a personality. It will not sit quietly in a corner and behave. It will demand to be the centre of attention on your mantelpiece, sideboard, or wherever you foolishly think something else was the focal point. Maison de L'oro accepts no responsibility for any furniture rearrangements, interior redesigns, or sudden obsessions with Indian decorative arts that may follow.
