A complete vintage tea set — and we mean complete. Five cups and saucers, milk jug, sugar bowl, cake plate, and five side plates, all in matching Kent China with that gorgeous green and gold band that somehow manages to look both understated and completely fabulous at the same time. Finding a full set like this intact is genuinely rare, and this one has clearly lived a good life.
Kent China was produced by Taylor & Kent of Longton, Staffordshire — a respected English bone china manufacturer active from the late 19th century through the mid-20th century. The T&K crown backstamp with pattern number 5599 dates this set to around 1950.
A note on condition: this set shows honest signs of a life well-lived. There is some discolouration and surface wear consistent with decades of use — the kind of patina that tells you this set actually made people happy. The colours, however, remain absolutely fantastic: that green band is vivid, the gold trim is largely intact, and the overall effect is still stunning. Too beautiful to throw away — which is exactly why it's here.
