A proper serving tray. Round, heavy, and elegant — this large Swedish silver-plated tray has the kind of quiet authority that makes everything placed on it look more important. The scalloped edge with double reed moulding runs all the way around in a continuous wave, catching the light from every angle. The surface shows honest use over the decades: some light scratches and tarnishing consistent with a tray that actually did its job. With a good polish, this one will come up beautifully.
The original sticker on the reverse reads Made in Sweden, confirming Scandinavian origin — consistent with Swedish silverplate production of the 1960s, possibly by Mena AB of Eskilstuna, one of Sweden's leading silverware manufacturers of the period. The maker's stamp is partially worn but reads Silver Plated.
At 36cm diameter and 607 grams, this is a substantial piece — not a decorative afterthought, but a tray built to serve.
