Someone in Murano in the 1970s sat down, picked up a blowpipe, and decided to make something absolutely unhinged. The result is this vase: a swirling, flame-and-feather pattern in burnt orange, charcoal grey, and white that looks like it's actively on fire from every angle. The base is a deep, glowing red. The interior reveals the full layered glass construction — colours folded into each other like a very glamorous geological event.
The silhouette is classic 1970s Murano — wide flared rim, generous belly, narrow foot — and the execution is exceptional. No chips, no cracks, no repairs. Just 50 years of sitting somewhere looking magnificent and waiting for someone worthy to come along.
That someone is apparently you.
