America in the 1970s gave us a lot of things: questionable wallpaper, excellent road trips, and milk glass. This particular example comes from Smith Glass Company of Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania — one of the most respected American milk glass manufacturers, known for their quality and distinctive forms.

The shape is classic: a bulbous body that narrows dramatically at the waist before flaring out into a wide trumpet mouth. Very dramatic. Very 1970s. The hand-painted wildflower decoration wraps around the belly — daisies, bluebells and meadow flowers in soft, muted tones that sit beautifully against the satiny white glass. It's the kind of vase that looks like it belongs on a windowsill with afternoon light coming through it.

The base shows a small dark speck — a minor inclusion in the glass from production, not a chip or crack. Honest vintage character.
