Izzy wizzy, let's get collecty.

This is a genuine vintage Sooty mug made by Keele Street Pottery Co. Ltd. of Staffordshire, England, registered by Sooty Concessions Ltd. (No. 743610) — which dates it firmly to the early 1950s, right when Sooty was becoming a British television institution. Harry Corbett had only just introduced the little yellow bear to the nation, and already someone was putting him on a mug. Priorities.

One side shows "Sooty at the Railway Station" — Sooty in his stationmaster's hat standing proudly next to a colourful steam locomotive, with Sweep poking his head cheerfully out of the cab. The other side features a smaller, equally charming scene of Sooty chasing a butterfly through a meadow, because even stationmasters need a hobby.

The mug has a gold rim — showing some age-appropriate wear, as you'd expect from a 70+ year old piece of children's pottery that has clearly been loved. The interior is clean and white. The base carries the full Keele Street Pottery / Sooty Concessions Ltd. stamp in excellent condition.
