Okay, real talk: if you've ever seen a complete Victorian terrine that looks like it rolled off the factory floor yesterday, you know these things just don't exist. But here we are. William Hume & Son, 1894, complete with lid, and basically mint. I mean, this thing is 132 years old and has fewer signs of use than my coffee mug from last week.

William Hume & Son made gorgeous transfer-printed earthenware in Staffordshire between 1891 and 1906, and this is a perfect example of their craft. That beautiful blue maple leaf pattern? Still crisp. Those sculptural handles? Intact. The lid with its fancy finial? Fits perfectly. This is the kind of serving piece Victorian ladies used to impress at dinner parties, and now you can too.

Why you want this:

  • Complete set - terrine + lid (rare!)
  • William Hume & Son, Staffordshire (1894)
